How my journey began

I am a certified school psychologist (Masters Degree in Education and Human Development, Education Specialist Degree in School Psychology, Lehigh University). I have over 20 years’ experience working with children and families in public school districts in New Jersey. I have worked with preschool-aged children up through high school-aged children.

I am also a mother of three: twin teens (boy and girl) and a younger male teen. I define myself as a mom and I love being one. It’s a hard job, but among the most important I’ll ever have. I am also a single mom. I co-parent very amicably with the father of my children and have successfully navigated divorce and co-parenting.

Why parent and family coaching? Parents need help. Being a parent is hard! There are no classes for it, no certifications required before giving birth, and no degrees offered in it. We are all thrown into parenting hoping that we have the skills to be successful. But each child is unique and different. Each one challenges us in different ways.

Using the tools I’ve learned professionally—and lived with personally—I help parents and children adjust routines and habits, communication methods, and how they seek what they need from one another in order to identify a framework that works for their unique situations.
